I ran across a good article today in www.ConstructionDive.com about the new construction hotel lodging business. Half-way down the article, the author discusses how some brands and owners are opting to remodel or renovate their existing properties in the future since the commercial lending landscape looks a bit rocky this year and next. With the economy and probably credit tightening happening, winning some of these type projects is looking like a good recession strategy.
